Jane Shaw is passionate about capturing the essence and movement of animals and wildlife. Her strong, spontaneous brushstroke style depicts the natural power, energy and emotion of her subjects. Often working straight from life, she creates bronzes for both home and large garden works.
Jane abandoned sculpture early in her career. That was after she completed a degree in art history at the University of Manchester. Jane spent her early career with a London firm of fine art appraisers and consultants, travelling and living abroad before returning to London to build and run her own business for several years. After moving to Dorset in 2013, she rekindled her love of sculpture, inspired by her lifelong interest in wildlife and the outdoors.
Someone Once Commented on Jane Shaw:
“My company is delighted to have a number of private exhibitions for the artist in our conference room in Westminster. Jane contributed to some of these works, her work is both stunning and well-received, not only selling to our clients, and also get a commission. We love her work so much that we bought a sculpture of a greyhound that took a place on our boardroom table and generated considerable interest and excitement , and proved to be a real asset to the discussion. Her talent extends to all different forms and sizes, which makes for some fascinating and beautiful works of art.” Edward Wilder, London
